Banner Days

Three new informational and educational banners that highlight and explain the history of Eastern Neck Island before and after the establishment of the National Wildlife Refuge are now on display at the Lodge.

The banners were written and designed by Friends of Eastern Neck board members Cece Trainor and Meg Parry (pictured at left and center below), who participated in workshops hosted by Washington College as part of a program for Kent County museums and exhibitions. The project came under the umbrella of the Smithsonian’s Museum on Main Street traveling exhibit, “Crossroads: Change in Rural America.”
