FOEN Board Member Installs New Purple Martin Houses

FOEN Board member David Holyoke supervised the installation of new Purple Martin houses in front of the Lodge this fall. Martins – beautiful swallows who are voracious consumers of a variety of insects – sometimes take a few years to settle into a new home, but when they do, Holyoke and fellow Board member Bill Burton will forward nesting data to the Purple Martin Conservation Organization.
