Winter Bird and Refuge Walks

Three winter waterfowl walks and two refuge walks, all in areas not usually open to the public and being sponsored by Friends of Eastern Neck at the Eastern Neck NWR.  Guide walks start at 8.00 a.m. on the first Saturday of each month.

  • November 3 – Refuge Walk
  • December 1 – Waterfowl Walk
  • January 5 – Waterfowl Walk
  • February 2 – Waterfowl Walk
  • March 2 – Refuge Walk

Enrollment for walks is limited to 25, first-come, first-served, registration required, with children 12-and-up permitted, but no pets.  Walks are free (but a voluntary donation to the Friends of Eastern Neck to help cover the program’s modest cost is very welcome!) Dress warmly, wear boots and don’t forget your binoculars and camera.
